Stroll on the island of Bréhat

Upon your arrival, the island of Brehat announce the color! First look, large pink granite rocks spring from the water! They are everywhere on the island. With the sun, the color is accentuated to immerse you straight into a postcard setting.

As soon as we arrived at Port Clos, we drop off our suitcases at the hotel and pick up our super electric bikes! Because yes on the island of Bréhat, there are places where it climbs. We took a cart for our 3 year old boy. He loved it and took full advantage of the scenery!

The Peacock Lighthouse

We begin the visit of Bréhat by the north of the island. By bike, count 20 min from the village.

The landscape on this wild side is breathtaking! The contrast is striking! Big rocky peaks of pink granite, a jagged coastline, thousands of pink pebbles when the sea recedes. At the very end of the point stands before us the pretty Peacock lighthouse. A white and brown lighthouse 9 meters high. We stay a few moments to contemplate the superb view and the tranquility of this place. A mesmerizing and incredibly beautiful place. The Brittany in all its glory ! To access the lighthouse, the path is uneven due to the recent storms. You will walk on large stones of all shapes but not very stable. Bring good shoes. The view from the lighthouse is magnificent. We approach very close to the large rocky peaks. It's quite impressive!

The Rosédo Lighthouse and the Semaphore

To the west of the island of Bréhat is the Rosedo lighthouse 13 meters high. In the same corner, you will pass in front of the Semaphore. The road from the Semaphore towards the south of the island is really pretty. You will cross moors and meadows as far as the eye can see.

    Anse de la Corderie

To access this cove, you will pass in front of an alley of pretty houses with huge gardens and you will see a small path that goes down to the sea. This is the path you will have to take. The place is super cute with a nice little beach. Walk on the pier and admire the scenery!

    The Guerzido Lighthouse

The Bréhat archipelago has very few beaches. One of the most beautiful is the Guerzido beach southeast of the island. A little corner of paradise. Pink pebbles, white sand, pines and turquoise water... This Breton beach has nothing to envy to the beaches of the south! A big favorite ! Right next door is the nautical center for rent a canoe and thus discover Bréhat along the water.

    Birlot Tide Mill

Here is the most photogenic spot on the island of Bréhat ! It is an old sea mill which has been perfectly restored. It is fed by a 2-hectare seawater pond. not to go there at different times of the day (mid-afternoon and end of the day). The landscape changes every time the sea recedes or rises! A real postcard! Birlot is truly our favorite part of the island. In the 1920s, this mill was used to grind flour for the baker in Bréhat.
